Music Expression Without Grip in the Style of POW Ensemble
Music, as a universal language, it appeared that not only must be submitted with the explicit lyrics and simple rhythmic. Karisma ITB Kunjungi Kantor Redaksi Pikiran Rakyat
Guna memperlihatkan dunia kerja di bidang jurnalis kepada siswa SMA, Karisma ITB menyelenggarakan kunjungan belajar ke kantor Redaksi Pikiran Rakyat pada hari Jumat, 12 Juli 2009 lalu. Bertempat di Jl. Soekarno Hatta No. 147, Bandung, kegiatan ini diikuti oleh sekitar 30 siswa SMA di Bandung yang merupakan peserta pelatihan Jurnalistik Karisma ITB.
Kegiatan diawali dengan sesi diskusi bersama staf redaksi Pikiran Rakyat di Aula Pikiran Rakyat Bandung. Hadir sebagai pembicara Dikdo Maruto, Redaktur Pelaksana Pikiran Rakyat, dan Milly Malia Mildawani, Asisten Redaktur Pendidikan Pikiran Rakyat. Keduanya memberikan penjelasan cara kerja di dapur redaksi Pikiran Rakyat. Dari mulai proses kerja wartawan di lapangan, hasil liputan, penyuntingan, pra cetak, hingga proses percetakan dan distribusi ke pembaca.
Tak selesai sampai di situ. Para siswa pun diajak berkeliling melihat langsung proses produksi sebuah surat kabar. Di sini, siswa diperkenalkan bagian-bagian yang menunjang berjalannya roda redaksi Pikiran Rakyat. Dimulai dari ruangan redaksi, divisi redaksi bahasa, divisi online, hingga divisi percetakan.
Namun, untuk divisi percetakan peserta tidak bisa melihat langsung proses pencetakan surat kabar. Hal ini dikarena proses pencetakan lazim dilakukan pada malam hari, sedangkan kunjungan siswa terjadi pada siang hari.
Meskipun begitu, para siswa terlihat senang dan puas. Hal ini terlihat dari banyaknya pertanyaan yang mereka ajukan mengenai dapur redaksi Pikiran Rakyat Bandung.
Kegiatan ini merupakan rangkaian dari pelatihan Jurnalistik Karisma Salman ITB. Diselenggarakan selama lebih kurang 2 bulan lamanya, pelatihan ini tidak hanya memperkenalkan dunia jurnalistik kepada siswa SMA. Tetapi juga mengajak mereka untuk menjadi produsen informasi di masa yang akan datang.
